Honey Locust Barstools
This project was a fun one because I harvested the lumber from a tree that fell down right down the road from my parents house. It was only my second time going through the process of harvesting and milling lumber start to finish, and I learned a lot. I used amber shellac to emphasize the natural golden glow of the raw honey locust wood. This, together with the mortice and tenon joinery, fit seamlessly into the modern feel of the client’s kitchen.
